As part of the annual district arts festival, the North East District Musical is centered on the idea to provide a platform for the elderly to engage in more meaningful activities and to lead a more fulfilling lifestyle. It provides them with an avenue to showcase their talents and pursue their interest in performing arts. Driven by North East CDC and The Glowers, a senior citizens drama group, the musical will feature cast and crew from the residents of the North East district. Content of the musical will revolve around elements such as active aging, neighbourliness, youth participation, inter-generational bonding, racial harmony and ultimately a strong message for everyone to take away.
