COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE TOWARDS SELF RELIANCE AND EMPLOYABILITY (CARE) COMMITTEE

1. To provide our residents with interim social assistance
2. To initiate and organise programmes that promote self reliance
3. To coordinate and provide job matching opportunities for retrenched, the unemployed and the back-to-work force

Grassroots EngAgement In Northeast (GAIN) COMMITTEE

1. To enhance CDC’s collaboration with the grassroots network to promote active participation among residents in the district
2. To facilitate the formation of interest groups at the grassroots level to develop potential skills and talents of our residents
3. To provide a platform for exchange of ideas and resources to connect the different fabrics of the community

FINANCE COMMITTEE

1. Review the Financial Statements of the Council
2. Provide advice to Council on Fund Management
3. Review the audit observations by internal and external auditors appointed by People’s Association
4. Evaluate and make recommendations on annual & supplementary budget exceeding $500,000 prior to putting up to Council, Deputy Chairman and Chairman for approval
5. Review on Council’s procedures, considering professional and regulatory pronouncement on issues related to accounting, internal controls or auditing matters
6. Convene meetings to consider any accounts matters the Committee believes should be brought to the attention of the Council
