Di-Snooker @ North East

In the spirit of “inclusivity”, North East Community Development Council is organising “Di-Snooker”. It is a snooker competition to reach out to the disadvantaged who are interested in this game. Participants will include the wheelchair-bound and the intellectually disabled. Participants will be undergoing a half-day training course to be equipped with the basic knowledge, rules and regulation of the game.A friendly competition will commence after the workshop is conducted.

Volunteers from schools and choral groups will spend a heartwarming evening with elderly who stay in old folks homes and nursing homes in the North East district. The elderly can look forward to a Chinese New Year dinner with the volunteers, enjoy performances put up by the choral groups and even enjoy a ride around Chinatown to bask in the festive mood. The Chinese New Year celebration hopes to bring warmth and love to this group of elderly who might be spending Chinese New Year without the companionship of their family during the festive period.
